Chokeberry (Aronia melanocarpa) is a shrub belonging to the rosefamily, grown for aromatic, dark-blue fruits. Juice squeezed directly from the fruits of the aronia is characterized by a sour, slightly tart taste. It is an excellent complement to a daily, balanced diet. It can be consumed by people of any age. It is recommended especially in the autumn-winter period and during the period of spring solstice.
