Ionolit baby is a powder preparation for the preparation of an oral rehydration fluid with reduced osmolarity and sodium content, the composition of which complies with ESPGHAN recommendations. In states of dehydration, regardless of their cause, the water-electrolyte balance is disturbed. It is then necessary to supplement the diet with glucose and minerals given in the right proportions.
The dosage of the preparation depends on the degree of dehydration, the hydration stage and medical recommendations. According to the WHO / UNICEF recommendations:

200ml of liquid prepared according to the instructions contains: 3.24 g glucose, 379 mg citrate, 355 mg chloride, 276 mg sodium, 157 mg potassium. Osmolarity of the solution: 230 mOsm / l /
The sachet should be opened and then dissolved in 200 ml of warm, boiled water. Cool before serving. The solution should be given to babies and children using a clean spoon or cup. Infants and children up to 2 years old pour the solution in small portions directly into the mouth every 1-2 minutes, older children can drink small sips directly from the cup. If vomiting occurs in the child, hydration should be stopped for 5-10 minutes and then the fluid should be started at a slower pace. The reconstituted solution should not be sweetened. The liquid should be consumed immediately after preparation. The solution is unfit for consumption 24 hours after preparation. Do not exceed recommended servings for consumption during the day.
