In order to be able to perform important biological functions for our body, folic acid, which is supplied every day with a diet, needs to be enzymatically* transformed to its bioactive form – 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF). However, often our population shows a mutation in a certain gene. The mutation causes a decrease or a significant reduction of the folate transformation to its bioavailable and bioactive form.

Profolium is a food supplement containing an active form of folic acid, which does not need to undergo any further transformations. Thanks to that it is fully available to the body.

Folic acid belongs to the group of folates which contribute to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy, to normal amino acid synthesis and to normal blood formation. Folate also has a role in the process of cell division and, what’s important, contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism.

INTENDED USE: product is recommended for adults to supplement their diet in an active form of folic acid, especially for women planning conception, pregnant and breastfeeding women and for people who want to maintain normal function of the hematopoietic system.

RECOMMENDED USE: adults – 1 capsule a day after a meal. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet. Maintaining normal health requires a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

INGREDIENTS: bulking agent: cellulose, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (shell ingredient), anti-caking agent: magnesium salts of fatty acids, anti-caking agent: silicon dioxide, colour: titanium dioxide, 5MTHF-glucosamine.

DAILY DOSE: (1 capsule) contains: 418 µg of 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF), of which 400 µg of folic acid (200% of nutrient reference value).

Storage conditions: store in room temperature, in a dry and dark place. Food supplements should be stored out of reach of children.
